Shortlisted for the Mies Van Der Rohe 2009 Awards, Villa 7 is a two-level, 300 m2 property, able to accommodate up to 8 guests. Fully private, but conveniently close to everything, Villa 7 offers all that the contemporary traveler is looking for.
Interior details and furnishing, combine simplicity and sumptuousness with the use of oak and African teak wood and Inox steel surfaces. Oil paintings and gravure share splashes of color and convert the living area into an experience of art.
The villa’s rare camera collection along with a gallery of black and white photos on the lower level of the villa reflects the personal interests and sense of taste of the owner and his intention to share this special experience with the guests of the villa. The outdoor patio furniture is minimal design: together with white gravel paving, constitutes the patio area where the concrete elements embrace the structure.
Unique & Distinctive Design
The architectural character of the villa is standing between minimalism, Bauhaus, and Japanese architectural forms that offer the guest aesthetic content, which is so unique, distinctive, and rare. Villa 7 is built with a unique minimal architectural concept, designed in pure geometric forms. The basic elements of the construction strive to express a message of simplicity and balance, while repetitions of the structure represent a sense of order. The synthesis is organized morphologically by the use of the structural elements exclusively and accomplished by the use of bare minimum lines and elements. The special character of its design allows the guest to relax and enjoy their stay without visual stimulations. Villa 7 has been shortlisted for the Mies Van Der Rohe 2009 Awards in Brussels and is cited in various architectural magazines.
A sculpture of time
Outdoors, a series of surrounding trees embrace Villa 7. The spacious garden area is carefully landscaped and is home to an ancient 1200-year-old olive tree, which is the highlight of the lower level of the garden. With an 8-meter trunk circumference, this rare tree is a unique sculptural artwork of nature. You may sit in its shade, enjoy its shape and discover shapes and figures on its trunk that will enhance/maximize your holiday experience and inspire your imagination. It’s a must-see sculpture of time that embraces life and strength.
Location
Villa 7 is located in the Perivolia area, on the outskirts of Chania city and only 3 km away from the center.
Perivolia preserves its natural environment and still offers the feeling of staying in a small village. There is a traditional tavern, mini market, and pharmacy in the area that can be reached on foot from the villa. Other amenities such as larger supermarkets, butcher shops, and more are only a short drive away.
The Villa is located between the city of Chania and the Agia Marina/Platanias areas which are the entertainment centers during the summer season with easy access to everything you might need for your holidays, including a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops.
In addition, the location of the villa is a great starting point to explore Crete as the national road nearby offers you easy access to the west where you can find some of the most well-known beaches in Greece such as Elafonisi or Balos, or to the east side of Crete where you can visit the attractive cities of Chania and Rethymno (60 km away). Staying in our villa offers you an opportunity for total relaxation in a quiet and secluded area with being within small distances to living areas at the same time.

From the main entrance, the ground level welcomes you with a spacious open glass area leading to a comfortable living room with a corner sofa, a 50” TV with Netflix, a Bluetooth speaker, and a fireplace. Next to the living room is a stylish dining table that seats 8 guests and a fully equipped kitchen.

Walking along the corridor on the same level you will find three stylish bedrooms, a minimally designed bathroom, and a spacious office. Additionally, there is a family bathroom with double sinks and a bathtub on this level. The office features an oak woodworking desk and library as well as a stylish recliner which guarantees a quiet and calm area for studying or working. The office opens out to the same private patio as the master bedroom.

Lower level
The wooden stairs lead to the lower level where an air-conditioned studio of 50m2 and a black and white picture gallery is located. The studio offers a king-size bed (1,60 x 2,00), a double sofa, a 27” TV, a minimal design Danish clock with wooden indicators, a piano, and a bathroom with a shower. The studio offers access to the outdoors including the barbecue and pool area. Furthermore, there is a kitchenette with all necessary equipment and a comfortable breakfast table, and Pilates accessories and free weights available. Finally, the villa’s washing machine and clothes dryer are located on this level.
Outdoor Living
- A private 40 m2 eco-pool with hydromassage (depth: 0,70 cm - 1,60 m). The pool can also be heated upon advance request for the entire stay, with an additional charge. One of the exceptional features of villa 7 is the swimming pool which is chemical-free (chlorinated through salt electrolysis). This specific characteristic allows guests to enjoy the pool and the incorporated jacuzzi reducing potential allergic or bacterial skin reactions.
- The pool terrace offers 4 sun beds, 4 poufs, two umbrellas, a hammock, and an outdoor shower for your comfort.
- Concrete-designed charcoal barbecue with an outdoor sink.
- Two outdoor dining tables that seat 8 guests are available, ideal for al fresco dining.
- Parking space for up to 2 cars inside the villa premises.
- The whole outdoor area is fenced and has a private entrance with a gate, offering 100% privacy to our guests.
