Villa al Sur showcases current architectural design which, combined with a modern Boho style interior, creates a relaxed and welcoming ambiance in an upscale chic environment. Situated on the hillside that leads down to the natural harbor of Souda Bay, on the Akrotiri peninsula of Chania, Villa al Sur enjoys beautiful natural views of the White Mountains and Souda bay in the distance.
Light flows throughout the villa thanks to the glass framework which forms a distinct feature. The 380 sq.m. residence spreads across 3 levels and features six generous bedrooms, accommodating 12 guests in their plush beds and up to 13 if required, while the 115 m2 private heated pool spanning the front of the villa beckons you to awake for a dip.
A selection of beautiful beaches and bays, amenities, and captivating Chania town are all within easy reach for those wanting to explore some of what the stunning island of Crete has to offer.
Location
Villa al Sur is located in Pithari on the Akrotiri peninsula of Chania. The area is well known for its beautiful sandy beaches and bays, offering crystalline waters and gorgeous views, such as Kalathas, Marathi, and Loutraki, which are all a short drive from the villa. As you continue down to Souda, some fish restaurants line the bay, flanked by a narrow beach with shallow waters. The peninsula is a pleasure to explore with small villages, hidden bays, and ancient monasteries all waiting to be discovered.
From Villa al Sur, the road into Chania town will lead you through a lush forest area and past famous monuments such as the Venizelos grave. Within a 9km drive, you are likely to visit the enchanting town more than once during your stay! The Venetian restaurant-lined harbor, museums, architecture, and winding alleyways hiding small tavernas, boutiques, and gelaterias are a pleasure to explore on foot.
A little further afield, yet easy to access due to the villa's proximity to the national road, lie the Theriso gorge, Botanical Park, and waterpark all waiting to be discovered. Both the Imbros and Samaria gorge is located in the Chania prefecture for hikers and anyone interested in the stunning natural landscape, and for lovers of archeology, a short drive to the site of Aptera will be a treat.

It consists of a relaxing private indoor lounge with original Asian furniture, a romantic master bedroom that makes it ideal for a honeymoon stay, the en-suite bathroom with an elegantly built heated jacuzzi and plunge pool, a walk-in closet and an office area with an elegant desk and inspirational garden views. You will fall in love with it!
Twin Bedroom
The Twin Bedroom features two comfortable single beds and a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub. It is ideal for two adults sharing a room or the family’s children.

The Suite is a separate studio with 2 connecting rooms, featuring a bedroom with a queen bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a living room with an elegant desk, providing direct access to the swimming pool area. It can accommodate two more people, with the use of a double sofa bed.

Common areas include 2 separate living areas with a fireplace and library with books offered to guests for reading, a dining area for 10 people, the fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the outdoor kitchen area, and the Guest WC.

At the lower level, the property features a separate 2 rooms studio, with an independent entrance from the main villa. The studio features a bedroom with a semi-double bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a living area with a fully equipped kitchenette. It has access to a private outdoor dining table and chairs. The studio is ideal for support staff or tenants that wish to maintain their privacy during a large group stay and is rented at an additional cost, upon request only.

Unique features include an authentic ancient construction from the Ottoman empire and a natural cave that add to its distinct charm. All 3 levels feature covered and uncovered patios, verandas, pavilions, multiple dining areas, pool sundecks & lounges, as well as, a charming stone-built footpath that runs across the upper-level mature gardens, blended peacefully with the eclectic landscaped gardens of the lower level.
